Common sourcing questions

What is a samarium cobalt magnet?

Samarium cobalt (SmCo) is a rare-earth permanent-magnet material. Hangda focuses on Sm₂Co₁₇ grades for applications that require magnetic performance, temperature resistance and stability.

How hot can Hangda SmCo magnets operate?

The published maximum temperature depends on the grade. XGS 26-T550 is listed at 550 °C, with 9–11 MGOe measured at 550 °C. The final safe operating point depends on geometry, the magnetic circuit, reverse field and exposure conditions.

Can Hangda manufacture to a customer drawing?

Yes. Hangda provides customized magnet shapes and magnetic assemblies. Share dimensions, tolerances, material requirements, magnetization direction, quantity and operating conditions for a technical review.

Which quality certification is available?

The supplied quality management certificate is for GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015 and covers R&D, production and sales of SmCo rare-earth permanent magnetic materials, and sales of magnetic materials. The certificate states an expiry date of 14 November 2027, subject to its ongoing validity conditions.

What should I include in an RFQ?

Include your application, preferred grade or required magnetic performance, operating temperature, drawing revision, dimensions and tolerances, magnetization direction, order quantity, destination and target delivery date.

Compare SmCo grades

Compare only properties measured at the same temperature. Each published test condition is shown separately.

Specification confirmation H-series maximum temperature differs between supplied documents: 350 °C in the grade table and 300 °C for XGS 35H in the English brochure. Request the current grade specification before design approval.

These are source-document values, not a signed application specification.
